Tom Jobim, one of Brazil’s most important musical poets once said “Brazil is not for beginners”. Like most cliches, his comment bears more than just a hint of of truth. To navigate Brazil and its customs requires a certain amount of experience and elan.

That’s why we see the fact that we have been producing content of the highest level in this amazing and beautiful country since 2004 as a crucial selling point in our business.

We set up GreenGo Films in 2007 to provide bespoke production services to the biggest and best commercials producers from around the world. Since then, we have lived through one global financial crisis, one World Cup, one Olympic Games, one global pandemic and four years of political shame. Brazil has survived and so did we.

In that time, we have also produced award-winning feature films, documentary features and series for the international and local market.

We are proud to have developed successful and long-standing relationships with such companies as Believe Media, Epoch Films, Imperial Woodpecker, RSA Films, The Sweet Shop, HSI Productions, Wanda, Caviar, Media Monks, Merman and brands including Adidas, Nike, EA Sports, Heineken, Corona, Wrigleys, Coca Cola, Pepsi Cola, LVMH, Microsoft, Absolut, ESPN, Nissan, Range Rover, Unilever, Kraft and Nestle to name a few.

On the international content side we have worked with Working Title Films, BBC, Al Jazeera, Granada, France 2 and 3, Nickelodeon, Amazon Prime and ITV.

Our ethos has always been: No job is too big nor too small. Each job is individual and we cut our cloth to accommodate the needs of our production partners.

We set and maintain high standards on all of our productions and work with our partners always to find ways of reducing our carbon footprint.

Our years of hands-on experience mean that the people we hire and vendors we contract are the best and most reliable in the business. We have developed modes of working where high standards are expected but where people can expect to feel valued and treated with respect at all levels. There is no higher priority than on-set safety and security and we always strive to maintain a positive working environment.

We cover the whole of the Brazilian territory, harnessing its boundless talent in wonderful Rio de Janeiro, dynamic Sao Paulo, iconic Brasilia, lush Amazonia, dramatic Rio Grande do Sul, laid back Bahia and beyond.

In the words of film producer Andrea Calderwood of her recent experience of shooting a part of her movie ROB PEACE (written and directed by Chiwetel Ejiofor and starring Jay Will and Camilla Cabelo):

“..we all loved Rio, and full of plotting to come back! You and your team did a brilliant job – thanks for making it all so positive and making it seem easy – a beautiful end to our shoot.”

GreenGo was founded and is led by Jan Roldanus, producer of film and TV (https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0738127/ ), whose activities are split between Brazil and UK where he has been producing HETV. His multicultural background and years of living and working in Brazil for over a decade allows him to bridge communication throughout the production process.
